The 2019 ‘Iolani Classic welcomes the Kaiser Cougars after a two-year hiatus. Kaiser welcomes first year head coach Kenneth Powell. The Cougars are coming off an 18-13 season, including a sixth place finish in the OIA. Kaiser is counting on major contributions from senior center Cyrus Singelman as well as junior point guard Kenji Toyama and junior wing Mario Drummer. Senior newcomer Nalu Kanaluu will also be expected to make a positive impact for the team.
Coach Powell commented on the team’s expectations for the upcoming season: “We want to put ourselves in position to compete for our league and state titles.”
