Kapa’a is off to a 5-2 start this season, including victories over perennial Division I contenders Baldwin (56-51) and Campbell (48-45). Returning starter Austin Green has led the offense by averaging 14.4 points per game, including 18 points against Campbell and 17 points in the win over Baldwin. He made three 3-pointers in each of those games and has nine triples overall.

Emry Piturachsatit is second in scoring at 10.3 ppg, including eight 3-pointers.

The Warriors return two starters from last year’s team that finished 10-4 and qualified for the Division II state tournament as Kaua’i Interscholastic Federation champion.
