The Buff ‘n Blue are off to a 3-1 start, including a 60-46 victory over defending O’ahu Interscholastic Association runner-up Mililani. Their only loss was a 76-72 shootout against defending OIA champion Leilehua.
Returnee Tanoa Scanlan, a 6-6 sophomore guard/forward, has led the offense so far with 16.7 points per game including 21 against Leilehua. Another returning sophomore, 6-6 guard/forward Zion White, is averaging 8 ppg including 12 against Leilehua. Dash Watanabe, a 5-10 senior guard, is another key returnee who is expected to provide leadership.
Newcomer Tate Takamiya, a 6-1 senior guard/forward, is averaging 7.3 ppg including 10 points against Mililani. Junior Ethan Chung, a 6-6 forward, and Dane Kellner, a 5-11 junior guard, are other newcomers to watch.
