The Panthers are making their second visit to Honolulu. They won the 2018 ‘Iolani Classic, beating top-ranked Incarnate Word Academy (St. Louis, Mo.) in the championship final.

Pinewood went 21-7 last season and sank an incredible 310 three-pointers in those 28 games, shooting 39% from beyond the arc. Seniors Vallory Kuelker (12.8 ppg last season, 77 three-pointers, Southern Utah signee), Jolyn Ding, Katherine Garr and Christina Tanase return, along with junior Caitlyn Kramer. Newcomers Sloane Parenti, Elliot Ososki and Abigail Yew will provide quality depth.

Under the direction of head coach Doc Scheppler, who arrived at Pinewood in 1995, the Panthers have won six CIF state championships, 10 Northern California crowns and 14 Central Coast Section titles.
