The Eagles of Montverde Academy, helmed by Head Coach Kevin Boyle, return to the ‘Iolani Classic for the fourth time in 2018. Montverde won the 2017 ‘Iolani Classic Championship with a 71-43 win over Jefferson (OR). They also finished the year ranked #1 nationally following a 76-58 defeat of No. 2 University (Davie, Fla.) in the championship of the GEICO High School Nationals in Middle Village, N.Y. The Eagles return 7’1 senior Balsa Koprivicia (committed to Florida State) and have new seniors, 6’9 Precious Achiuwa and 6’9 Omar Payne (committed to Florida). Incoming juniors Cade Cunningham and Moses Moody are also expected to make an impact.

There is a lot of excitement about this year’s team. The group of underclassmen and seniors have leadership skills that are matched only by their ability on the court. With a tough schedule and dedicated players, the Eagles are ready to compete.
