The Knights of Mt. Vernon return to Oahu after a three year hiatus. Led by Head Coach Bob Cimmino (26th season), the Knights are coming off a strong 2018-19 season. Mt. Vernon finished the year at 19-5 overall, won their conference championship and were New York State (NYSPHSAA) Section One Champions. The Knights will be led by 6’6 senior forward Troy Hupstead 6’6 along with 6’1 senior point guard Irving Patrick. 6’2 junior Xaviea Riullano and 6’5 sophomore forward DeMarley Taylor are also expected to make major impacts.
Coach Cimmino is excited about this year’s group. “The Knights of 2019-2020 will be an uptempo squad using multiple full court defenses. The team enters the season with high exceptions due to seven returning seniors and some rookies who are working hard to be good.”
